The Art of Fused Glass

Each fused glass ashtray is a true labor of love, handcrafted individually by me in my home studio. I carefully select and hand-cut sheets of cobalt blue and white streaky glass to create the perfect combination of color and design. These pieces are then fused together in my kiln at approximately 1480°F, where the intense heat melds the swirling colors into a seamless, glossy work of art.

Once the initial fusion is complete, I fire the glass a second time in my kiln at around 1180°F. During this stage, I use a ceramic mold to shape the ashtray, giving it its distinctive square base and precisely crafted indentations for cigars or other smoking items. Every step of the process is done by hand, ensuring that no two ashtrays are ever alike, making each piece truly unique and personal.
