Turquoise Blue Glass Bowl with a Sunburst Texture Design

This listing is for a beautiful transparent turquoise blue fused glass bowl. This bowl features a sunburst design in the form of a texture on the underside of the bowl. This bowl was made in my home studio in Dunedin, Florida, where I cut, fused, heat-carved, and slumped this glass in my kiln. To achieve a full fuse, the kiln fires to 1480 degrees F and slowly bakes over 16 hours. The process is repeated two more times to impress the sunburst design into the fused disc of glass, and finally, a third time to gently drop into the bowl shape.

This bowl can be used as a decorative accent in your home -- keep it empty to capture the light, or use it functionally to hold fruit or other items. It also makes a fantastic gift to anyone who loves turquoise blue or the color of the ocean at a tropical beach.
