Glass Beach Pendant, Ocean and Beach Necklace

This listing is for a beautiful beach-themed pendant necklace, created with turquoise blue and aqua crushed glass. The sand in this pendant is also made from fine-grain crushed glass! This design was inspired by my beach hearts, I thought it would be so nice to wear a beach design but the hearts are kind of big and heavy to work as a necklace. These round pendants are smaller, lighter, and perfect to wear around your neck!

I've put together some different options if you are interested in purchasing one: the size of the pendant, the color of the pinch bail, and the type of necklace.

There are three sizes available:

Small - approx. 1 inch in diameter
Medium - approx. 1 and 1/4 inch in diameter
Large - approx. 1 and 1/2 inch in diameter

There are also two different pinch bail options: bright silver or antique brass. All metals are plated.

24-inch adjustable faux black suede cord (it is soft, not stiff)

This necklace comes in a small box, perfect to store it in or to give as a gift to the beach and ocean lover in your life!

Every one of these glass pendants is created by me, in my home studio. To make these, I slowly heat crushed glass over a 16-hour firing cycle to approximately 1500 degrees, at which point the glass liquefies and melts into a circular pendant mold. The result reveals the ocean and surf design seen here in this listing. The "water" part of the design captures the effervescence of the crashing surf with tiny bubbles throughout. The sand is made with a fine-grain mix of colored crushed glass. These are more rounded on the front and flatter on the back. This design allows the pendant to rest comfortably on your neck.

These are all similar, but also all slightly different. No two are exactly alike! The item that is shipping will look similar, but not identical to the ones shown in this listing.

I do not recommend wearing these in the shower, the pool, the ocean, or other water. If they do get wet, dry off immediately.

This design in particular was inspired by the beach - the surf, the sand, the sea, and the sun. It's a beautiful day captured in glass! The turquoise and aqua blue contrasted against the sand and surf is the perfect way to say "I love the beach!" I live near Honeymoon Island in Dunedin, Florida, and I used the beautiful beach area here to inspire my creation of this pendant design.
